Brandenburger & Davis was founded in 1932 by the late Sheldon Brandenburger and has since that time been engaged in the business of identifying and locating lost and unknown heirs throughout the United States, Europe, the Russian States and the Far East.

Based in Sacramento, California, Brandenburger & Davis has a highly experienced headquarters staff of full-time professional probate research investigators. The firm maintains its own 6,500 square foot research library that contains over 40,000 volumes of city directories; birth, death and marriage indices; historical genealogies, filed obituaries and assessor's records; numerous other types of indices in both microfilm and microfiche form; and a variety of computer databases.

In addition to its headquarters staff, Brandenburger & Davis has employees positioned across the country and has working relationships with an extensive network of genealogical researchers, reporters, correspondents, and probate attorneys throughout the United States and abroad.

Additionally, Brandenburger & Davis has affiliations with researchers at various federal archive facilities throughout the United States and with researchers at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, the most extensive genealogical repository in the United States.

Brandenburger & Davis maintains a one-million dollar Professional Liability Policy (Errors and Omissions) with an insurance carrier rated "A" by A.M. Best. We could only qualify for such coverage by providing evidence of sound financial stability. It should be noted that no claims have been made under this policy.
